We at the Rhodes Cottage Tea Room love celebrating our rich and diverse South African Heritage.
In order to raise funds to assist the running’s of Rhodes Cottage Museum, as well as revitalizing and preserving other iconic landmarks we have 3d scanned the famous bronze lions at Rhodes Memorial and cast them into a bite size Belgium Chocolate.
These unique delicious Belgium Chocolate Guardians Lions are included in the price of your High Tea on Sundays and Scones and Tea.
If you would like to purchase your Belgium Chocolate Guardian Lion they are available from our new Gift shop:
Dark Chocalate (70% Coco) with crushed nuts, Milk and White Chocolates (Chocolate Liquor Lions are in the pipeline).
The prices are R 25 for 1 lion and is packaged in its own box.

Hands on History contribution to the Rhodes Cottage Museum include:
The Repair of the irrigation system to the garden from the Spring to Sprinklers
Repainting and recondition of many parts of the cottage
The establishment of the Tea Room to increase income and visitors to the Museum
The employment of 2 permanent staff to the Cottage Tea room.
Establishment of the garden, flags and chairs and tables.
Cutting of the Firebreak behind the Cottage, removal of deadwood in gardens
Increased security to the Cottage.
The celebration of the annual Rhodesshow 26 March.
Start of the Cape History Library in the Reading Room of the Cottage.
