This is the room that CJ Rhodes died on 26th March 1902 around about 6pm, at the early age of 49.
His reported last words were ‘ So little done, so much to do’
At the time of his death his company controlled the lands of (Northern Rhodesia) Zambia, (Rhodesia) Zimbabwe and (Nyasaland) Malawi. Rhodes left all his wealth to the people of Southern Africa. Perhaps he is best known as the “Founder” of Rhodesia and the Rhodes Scholarship that is available to all.
