Rhodes Cottage Museum Garden is Blooming with Happiness this time of year, Symon our Malawian Gardener has been patiently and lovingly tending to the garden for the past 7 years- especially blooming are our huge Hydrangers and Agapanthas.

The Garden is looking back to its brilliant self now after the horrendous Cape drought and Covid Pandemic years.

Our next years project for the Cottage includes careful re cutting of paths into the fynbos cliffside paths behind the Cottage, as well as keeping a healthy fire breaks between the mountain and Cottage Museum thatch roof.

In addition to this we would like to invite a botanist from Kirstenbosch to identify the Fynbos as well as fora (we have a secret Cape Clawless Otter residing on the property) on the property and promote the Museum gardens as a centre of natural diversity as an asset to local and international visitors.
